65 Years of Independence: Hon. Olumide Yakub Alli Urges Unity, Promises Purposeful Representation

– Ibadan, Oyo State

Hon. Olumide Yakub Alli (popularly known as OYA), a frontline aspirant for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives come 2027, has joined millions of compatriots to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

In his goodwill message, OYA described the nation’s independence as a hard-won freedom that must continually remind every Nigerian of the resilience, sacrifices, and unity of the founding fathers.

According to him, “Sixty-five years after gaining our sovereignty, Nigeria stands tall as a land of possibilities. Despite the challenges, the courage and creativity of our people remain our greatest assets. This anniversary is not just a reminder of where we have come from, but a call to chart a more prosperous future together.”

The House of Representatives hopeful urged Nigerians to remain steadfast, optimistic, and united, noting that the present generation has a responsibility to strengthen the pillars of democracy, justice, and inclusiveness. He stressed that true independence would only be achieved when citizens enjoy peace, economic growth, quality education, and opportunities to thrive.

While commending the patriotic spirit of Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, OYA reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful representation for Akinyele/Lagelu Federal Constituency if elected in 2027, promising to focus on youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and policies that uplift the people.

“Let us rekindle the Nigerian spirit of resilience, innovation, and togetherness. As we celebrate this 65th Independence Anniversary, may we embrace the future with renewed hope and determination to make Nigeria the pride of Africa,” he concluded.
