The Alakufo of Akufo Kingdom, Oba Abideen Abimbola Olajide, has extolled and congratulated His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his historic coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
In a goodwill message, Oba Olajide described Oba Ladoja’s ascension as a moment of pride not only for Ibadanland but for the entire Yorubaland, stressing that his wealth of experience, wisdom, and deep-rooted connection with the people will usher in a new era of peace, unity, and prosperity.
The Alakufo of Akufo noted that Oba Ladoja’s remarkable journey as a statesman and leader has already distinguished him as a custodian of culture and an advocate of progressive governance, adding that his reign promises to further consolidate Ibadan’s enviable position as a cradle of civilization and political influence.
“On behalf of the Akufo Kingdom, I rejoice with the great sons and daughters of Ibadanland on this epoch-making occasion. May the reign of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, bring enduring blessings, harmony, and sustainable development to Ibadanland and beyond,” Oba Olajide declared.
He further prayed for divine guidance and long life for the new Olubadan, urging all indigenes and residents to rally behind the throne in collective pursuit of growth and cultural preservation.
