For the second time running within a week, the lawmaker representing the Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu has facilitated another empowerment skills programme for another 100 youths within his constituency.
The programme initiated by Hon. Lafi in collaboration with the Centre for the Management Development under the 2025 capital project on entrepreneurship basics empowerment and support for vulnerable persons is about empowering the less privileged in the community to acquire necessary skills so as to be self reliant.
During the three days training which was held at Cedar Suite, located in the Alegongo area, along Akobo, Ibadan, the participants were taught on essential business and managerial skills, financial management and discipline necessary for the sustenance of their business activities.
While addressing the beneficiaries, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye popularly called ‘Lafi’, said that the gesture is part of his efforts to assist the beneficiaries who elected him to represent them at the national Assembly to expand their business activities.
He urged them to utilize the training they have acquired to uplift their business activities.
One of the coordinators of the training, Mr Okunubi Goriola commended the lawmaker for his keen interest in empowering the people in his constituency.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr Jimoh Ridwan Oladayo who described the training as a life changing and an eye opener for the participants, commended Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede for supporting such initiatives for the less privileged people in his constituency.
