The upgraded Ibadan Airport named after Samuel Ladoke Akinola on Wednesday received advanced team of the presidency flight ahead of coronation of the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja.
The flight touched down exactly 9:14am and was received by airport officials with excitement.
InsideOut News Media reports that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be among top government officials expected at the Mapo Hall, venue of the coronation on Friday, 26 September, 2025.
This news media recalls that Governor Seyi Makinde had in September 2024 performed ground-breaking ceremony for the airport upgrade to accommodate international flights.
