Preparations are in top gear for the 2nd Lam Adesina Annual Lecture Series (LAALS 2025), organized by the Lam Adesina Foundation in honour of the late former Governor of Oyo State, Alhaji (Dr.) Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina.
The event, scheduled to hold on Monday, November 11, 2025, will take place at the Hall of Grace, Jogor Centre, No. 1 Harvester Drive, Liberty Stadium Road, Ibadan, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
This year’s lecture has as its theme, “Sustaining a Legacy of Effective Leadership in Nigeria: The Imperative for Citizen’s Education.”
The guest lecturer is Senator Ibikunle Amosun, former Executive Governor of Ogun State, who is expected to speak on the role of education in shaping effective and accountable leadership in Nigeria.
According to the organisers, the annual lecture seeks to sustain the values of integrity, service, and people-oriented leadership exemplified by the late Lam Adesina, while also inspiring citizens—especially the youth—to embrace education as a foundation for responsible participation in governance.
The Lam Adesina Foundation noted that the lecture will bring together leaders from politics, education, and civil society to discuss strategies for strengthening democratic values and citizen engagement.
The Foundation encouraged members of the public, especially students, educators, and political stakeholders, to attend and contribute to the dialogue on building a better Nigeria through education and effective leadership.
